VIDEO: Neon Indian – Mind, Drips

Two video posts in one day? Sure, a pretty rare thing around Feed the Dog nowadays, but this new Neon Indian video is just way too cool to leave unblogged. The new video utilizes a technology invented by its director, Lars Larsen, dubbed the “LZX Visionary”, which is apparently an analog video synthesizer that creates and manipulates image the way an audio synthesizer creates and manipulates sound. In practice, the effects of the LZX Visionary is sort of like how you wish Apple’s Photo Booth effects work – drawing moving patterns and colors over layers of video. Like the “chillwave” genre itself, it’s something instantly new and instantly retro, like watching an amazing video from the 70s or 80s that couldn’t possibly exist. It’s a really beautiful video, watch below.

Vodpod videos no longer available.
