PHOTOS: Siren Music Festival, Coney Island (7.17.10)

This Saturday, Village Voice held their tenth annual Siren Music Festival, bringing another full day of indie music to Coney Island in Brooklyn, free to all. The festival featured headliners Matt & Kim, Ted Leo and the Pharmacists, and Holy Fuck — but it was afternoon performers Ponytail and Screaming Females who stole the show. Check out some photos of as many of the bands our one reporter on the scene was able to see. Also, check out my review of the Dom show over at the Huffington Post.

The show: Exceeded expectations.

Killer – Ponytail, Screaming Females, Holy Fuck

Filler – Wye Oak, Apache Beat, Cymbals Eat Guitars

Full disclosure: I couldn’t see every band — I missed Earl Greyhound, Surfer Blood, Night Marchers, The Pains of Being Pure at Heart, and Matt & Kim.
