Over the weekend I got the chance to cover two shows in New York City for the Huffington Post. On Friday I saw Best Coast open for Free Energy at a free show at the South Street Seaport as part of the annual River To River summer concert series. Then this Monday, I saw the Flaming Lips perform at the Central Park SummerStage, one of the benefit shows that helps the venue host a multitude of free concerts every summer.
